Silver Dollar Sportsmen’s Youth and Ladies Hunt

All,
We will be holding the Youth and Ladies hunt on January 14th from 8:30 A.M. until done. We hold this event in conjunction with the ODNR and use the ODNR grant monies. These are monies that get generated into our club to help make improvements around the club that everyone benefits from. We will be needing a lot of help for this hunt to be successful. If you can volunteer anytime at all on January 14th, please contact Ron Burkey at 330-621-8586. This also is a great opportunity to get younger generations involved in our shooting sports. This is an opportunity to give back to your club. What makes this club a working club is getting everyone to pitch in and help out when needed.

Thanks,
WCHA/SDS Boards and Officers

Claybusters are holding a youth trap shooting competition on Saturday June 11th.

We will need 6-8 people all day Saturday June 11th from 7:30 through the end of the competition at the trap houses. If we can get enough volunteers we can institute a shift system so that some can help in the morning and others can help in the afternoon. That would mean we will need 12 to 16 volunteers willing to work each shift. Please contact Thom Snyder @ jacobsjoe2000@yahoo.com to volunteer and let him know if you can do morning or afternoon or you are willing to help all day.

We will also need volunteers to work the kitchen again for both morning and afternoon. We will need 4 or 5 people all day so again we can do shifts. If you can help in the kitchen please contact Jeff Rhodes @ jrhodessage@gmail.com if you can help. Please let him know if you can help in the morning or afternoon or if you can be there to help all day. We will need cooks, people to serve up food at the counter and a cashier during this time.

These events we are requesting help for are events that make money for YOUR club so we can improve this club going forward. Volunteering for these events are a necessity on your part to help bring this money into the club.

Thank you,

Board and officers

Silver Dollar Derby

All Members,
The largest event of the year is fast approaching the Wayne Coon Hunters Association club.  The annual Silver Dollar Derby will be held this weekend, May 21st and 22nd.  This historic Derby has helped tremendously in making the club and grounds as it is today.  To make this event successful takes a lot of volunteer manpower from members, family and friends.  If you can help in any way, please contact Jeff Rhodes at jrhodessage@gmail.com.

Fences for the track will be put up starting 5/16 at 5:30pm.  The more hands available, the quicker the job will be accomplished.  Just show up and you will be put to work!

Reminder that the club grounds and all ranges are closed this whole week (5-16 thru 5-22).  Lots of preparation needs to be done to be ready for this large event.

Hope to see many of you at this Derby, even if it is just to watch!

Learn to help out at the trap range

All,

We are going to train people to help out at the trap range.  Please mark your calendars and come out to learn the ropes.

We are going to hold this training tomorrow night Wednesday March 9th starting at 5:00 P.M. and we will be there so if you can’t make it right at 5:00 still come out and we will work with you.

We will be going over setting up the trap range, loading the traps, scoring system, working the cash desk and we will answer any questions you might have.  Bring along your shotgun and you can do some shooting as we will be putting the traps through the paces to make sure we are ready for league Thursday night.

We have 10 nights of league and will need at least 7 people per night to run the league.  We have 150 members and if people will step up to help with the trap range, we can make light work for some with help from ALL.

Thanks,

Trap Committee
