Becoming a Member

Membership is open to persons 18 years of age and older. As a Regular Member, an individual receives all privileges of the Association including the right to vote and hold office, considering they meet the qualifications of holding office. The Regular Member’s immediate family receives all the privileges of the Association but cannot vote or hold an office. (“Immediate family” is defined as Spouse and children under age 18 (living at home) or the age of 23 if attending school or serving in the armed forces. Any Member joining the Association, their first year will be a probationary period. The probationary period will end on the Member’s one-year anniversary date. (Exception to the anniversary date will be anyone joining at the Annual Meeting their anniversary date will be the following Annual Meeting date.) This will include any Member who has dropped their Membership and is seeking to rejoin the Association. During the probationary year the Member will have no voting rights.

To become a member,

  1. Print off the membership application and waiver form.
  1. Fill out the membership application and sign the waiver.
  1. ALL applicants MUST have a current member for sponsorship. Noapplications will be accepted without a member sponsor.
  1. The completed forms are to be mailed with a check for the dues and initiation fee of $300.00 to the membership secretary at the address provided on the application form.
  1. Upon receipt of the application the membership secretary will contact you acknowledging the receipt of the application and the date of the next meeting that the applicant will be required to attend for acceptance into the association.
  1. At the meeting, applicants will be presented to the Board and Membership. At that time their Membership will be voted upon. Exceptions to the attendance at a meeting rule may be approved by the Board in certain circumstances, prior contact with the board is required.
